It's Official...

...I have a sports related injury. The spine and joint guy said that I had torn up bunch of tissue and stuff near the base of my achilles. He advised that the way my feet were hitting the pavement he was surprised this did not happen earlier. He gave me a number of exercises to do and scraped the crap out of my ankle with these steel instruments. It was really painful.

He advised no running for up to 2 weeks although I can do the recumbent bike and stepper at the rec center to keep my cardio up.



I am going to do my best to stay positive. I miss the recovery run this weekend and could possibly go back to walk the 8.5 next weekend....but I would be just walking.
