While we wait...

9 Days out until Vegas

So, we are about 9 days out from our first trip and I am getting "the itch". The itch for a double-double with cheese from In and Out, the itch for a Fat Tire...yes, I know I can get Fat Tire at Publix now, but I am positive it will not taste the same. Fat Tire is meant to be consumed in Las Vegas, I am sure of it, it is science. Yes, I also have the itch to gamble, but come on, you expected that.




We are meeting my brother and sister-in-law out there for Dad's birthday...should be a lot of fun. We are flying out on American Airlines next Friday afternoon.

I am viewing flying American Airlines as the first gamble of the trip. Yeah, we got to pick our seats, great...but who can tell if the person sitting next to me is the guy with the garbage bags, the crying baby...or the guy that had to have that last minute burrito before he boarded the plane. It is a long flight is all I am saying and we are accustomed to Southwest where we can move if we want to.

Anyway...We get in Friday night around 6:45PM, Dad is picking us up from the airport and we are going straight over to the fab-u-lous Mirage to catch Cirque Du Soleil's Love...maybe we can convince Dad into a quick trip through the drive thru of In and Out on the way.

Ryan and Amanda are driving in Saturday morning from LA...I am thinking that we can go out to breakfast with Dad in the morning and then meet Ryan and Amanda for lunch and figure the afternoon out from there. Saturday night, we will be dining at Mon Ami Gabi at Paris. Dad and I had lunch there years ago, it was great...maybe we will luck out and get that outdoor table with the view of the Bellagio fountains...
